The 12 acres of Les Jardins Tranquilles Riverside Park & Gardens house a myriad of features just waiting to be discovered. The mixture of formal and natural gardens, framed and bordered by the magnificent River Dronne, is something to which many of our visitors return regularly.
We have 700 metres of river frontage with sloping lawns down to a small island approached by two bridges that pass over the Dronne. You can sit in numerous private areas and watch the river with its abundant wildlife pass gently by.
Bring your picnic and enjoy eating "en plein air" and relaxing in one of the many charming areas of your choice. The gardens have permanent seating for 60 poeple for picnics. These tables can be rearranged to accommodate groups. Just let us know when booking.
Upon entering the gardens, you are first greeted by the magnificent Italian Garden. Well-maintained hedges hide recessed seating areas, fountains and even a 'chess-board'. These are followed by the Japanese garden, whose beautiful pond is covered with many plants and lilies. The gentle sound of trickling of water is all around you.
A large, open lawn bordered by flower beds and exotic trees leads you further on in to Les Jardins, where two bridges lead you to the island. For your convenience, a site map is available so you can navigate the gardens with your smartphone or tablet.
There is a marquee in the grounds of Les Jardins Tranquilles. This is available to hire for private functions and events. It is 200m2 and can seat 200 people. It is permanently set up with seating for 60 people so that our vistors can enjoy coffee and tea should the weather be inclement.
The marquee is suitable for music concerts and fundraising events, which we will be only too pleased to negotiate with you. Charity organisations are also most welcome. Our large car park offers safe parking to accommodate up to 100 vehicles.

There are several peacocks at Les Jardins Tranquilles. They are free to roam around the gardens and roost in the trees, and are wonderfully photogenic. We also have some pygmy goats, ducks, and gesse within the enclosed area.
